Infinity - DICOM Integration

ImproMed is excited to announce integration with the Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) standard implemented by most digital imaging equipment used in the veterinary marketplace.

The DICOM imaging standard was developed, and is sponsored, by the American College of Radiology and the National Electrical Manufacturers Association to define the rules and guidelines for handling, storing, and transmitting information regarding digital imaging.

The adoption of DICOM standards into ImproMed Infinity eliminates the need for Infinity users to duplicate client entry into multiple systems and reduces the need to look up patients’ medical record information from multiple sources. Infinity also provides the ability to generate Modality Worklist entries from a patient’s medical record that can populate image requests directly to the digital imaging equipment, and apply the appropriate charges to the client’s invoice. Upon completion of the image capture, the final digital images can be accessed directly from the patient’s medical record.
