Oshkosh,
WI (January 18, 2012) - ImproMed, LLC, a Butler Schein Company and a leading developer of
business and medical management software for the veterinary industry, announced today the recipients of its 7th Annual
Customer of the Year Awards. A panel of ImproMed employees selected the winners
in the categories of: “Best Place to Work,” “Community Contributor of the
Year,” and “Outstanding Veterinary Contributor of the Year.”
Lakeshore Animal Clinic in Lake Dallas, TX, was chosen as the “Best Place to Work” based not only on the seven employee submissions in this category, but because the clinic clearly demonstrates that it provides superior patient care through teamwork. It has an employee and family-orientated atmosphere that includes annual trips and birthday/anniversary rewards. Honorary Mention in this category was Superior Animal Hospital & Boarding Suites. Kathryn Sutton, hospital manager at the Superior, WI, clinic wrote that their hospital “generates a sense of quality care in a compassionate environment for our community and staff alike.”
The “Outstanding Veterinary Contributor” winner is Central Veterinary Associates, located in Valley Stream, NY. The clinic’s submission was written by their Public Relations Director, Hank Russell, and focused on how the hospital has gone above and beyond in the care of all animals, including exotics, and has operated on and successfully rehabilitated many injured and abandoned animals. As the Honorary Mention awardee, McPhillips Animal Hospital/Dr. Rhonda Stockburger was selected due to the doctor’s devotion to the care and sheltering of stray animals in their area.
Quakertown Veterinary Clinic in Quakertown, PA, was the recipient of the “Community Contributor of the Year Award.” Written by Adele Averill, the clinic’s customer service manager, the submission revealed that the clinic has created “a community spirit that is immeasurable,” including their creation of the QVC Angel Fund, their support of the local police department, and the Quakertown Veterinary Clinic Pet Fair. Located in Greenville, SC, Cleveland Park Animal Hospital was chosen as the Honorary Mention in this category for taking part in the Meals on Wheels program, donations to local charities including cancer research, and participation in the Wildlife Rehab of Greenville.
Each 1st place winner will receive an engraved glass plaque, as well as a box of goodies from ImproMed and a handful of their generous vendor partners. The Honorary Mentions also receive the box of goodies, as well as a framed certificate to display.
